The position of HR Coordinator consists of planning, directing and coordinating HR management activities to maximize the strategic use of HR and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, capacity building, and regulatory compliance.


  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and recommend needed changes
  • Analyse and modify compensation and benefits policy to establish competitive programmes and ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants
  • Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees and administrating disciplinary procedures
  • Conduct capacity building /training needs assessment for all team members and organize trainings to close identified gaps
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation/induction to foster positive attitude towards organizational objectives
  • Maintain personnel records – health insurance, pension, leave, etc, and ensure the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with relevant legislation.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations and employee relations
  • Represent the organisation at personnel related hearings and investigations
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems

Qualifications, requirements, skills

  • BSc in Human Resource or a related field
  • Other professional qualifications are desirable
  • At least 5 years post-graduation experience in HR
  • Highly computer literate
