Who Should Get the Vaccine?

- You’ll receive the HPV vaccine in a series of doses. The number of doses you need depends on the age at which you start:
- Ages 9–15: Two doses are enough for full protection. The second dose is given 6 to 12 months after the first because the immune system responds very strongly at this age.
- Ages 15–45: Three doses are recommended for complete protection. After the first dose, the second is given 1 month later, and the third 5 months after the first dose.
